The Feed-In Tariff

The site for the new guaranteed payments for renewable electricity in the UK

Feed-in Tariffs (FITs) first became available in Great Britain on 1st April 2010. Unfortunately this isn’t available in Northern Ireland – although this is under review at the moment

Under this scheme energy suppliers have to (compulsory for the big six suppliers) make regular payments to householders and communities who generate their own electricity from renewable or low carbon sources such as solar electricity panels (PV). These payments make up the Feed-In Tariff.

Solar electricity is seen to be expensive. With the UK Feed-In Tariff for green solar energy, Solar PV has been made more accessible to homeowners. Under the scheme, homeowners can be paid for the electricity generated regardless of whether you use it or not!

This site will explain everything there is to know about the UK Feed-In Tariff and how you can start earning from it
